Boyd Baker House

Undeniably Australian and a national architectural treasure, the Boyd Baker House makes the perfect environment for a unique ‘Australian Bush Wedding’. Several entertaining options and function spaces exist on the 34 acre property, including the Roy Grounds library, the Dower House and of course the Boyd Baker House with its centre courtyard and ‘school room’.

Ochre Gallery
32-34 Wellington Street, Collingwood
Ochre Gallery is located in the heart of the Collingwood Arts Precinct—situated close to the CBD and easily accessible by public transport (Trams 24 and 109). The gallery exhibits a large range of fine Aboriginal art from the Kimberley, Arnhem Land and Central and Western deserts as well as contemporary Australian art. The Gallery is suitable for small intimate engagements, weddings and celebratory events.

Abbotsford Convent

The Abbotsford Convent is set on 6.8 hectares within a beautiful peninsula of the Yarra River. It contains 11 heritage building and glorious heritage gardens. A variety of spaces within these buildings are offered for hire for conferences & meetings, weddings & special functions, photographic & film shoots or exhibitions & events.

Richmond Town Hall
333 Bridge Road, Richmond
The Richmond Town Hall was built in the 1890’s in the Venetian Gothic style. The façade received an Art Deco remodel in the 1930’s when it became Richmond City Hall. The main hall space features a parquetry dance floor, bar area, commercial kitchen and grand piano and is suitable for up to 200 people for dinner dances and weddings, and all day conferences.

Fitzroy Town Hall
201 Napier Street, Fitzroy
Built in the Classical Victorian style in 1873-4, with significant additional works completed in 1879, the Fitzroy Town Hall is a statement of the aspirations and burgeoning wealth of Melbourne in the gold rush era. The Fitzroy Town Hall was rejuvenated to its former glory in 2007. This stunning venue offers a number of event possibilities. It is ideally suited to cocktail parties, balls, formal dinners and many other events for up to 400 people in the main hall and 100 cocktail style in the beautiful Reading Room space.

Collingwood Town Hall
140 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford
Collingwood Town Hall was officially opened in 1887 and is aesthetically significant because of its 19th century gold rush style classicism. The foyer entry and interior of the ballroom were refurbished in the Art Deco style in 1938. The ballroom of this grand and imposing building is ideally suited to balls and large gala events. The ballroom space features, a raised stage, stage lighting and commercial kitchen and has a capacity of 500 in the hall and 300 in the balcony.
